Welcome!
Hello! My name is Carrie Frederiksen and I am the school nurse at Mt. Caesar Elementary School. The children call me "Nurse Carrie." My hours are 8am to 3:30pm every day. I have a Masters in Education in School Nursing from Cambridge College and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Rivier University. I am a member of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and the New Hampshire School Nurse Association (NHSNA). I have been a registered nurse for 20 years and have spent most of that time working in either labor and delivery and maternity or pediatrics. I started working as a substitute nurse for Monadnock School District in 2012 and spent 2 years as a substitute before hiring on full-time. This is my eighth year full-time, and seventh year as the nurse at Mt. Caesar School and I have enjoyed watching the children grow from preschoolers to second graders! I also participate on the district's Wellness and Joint Loss Committees as well as leading the Mt. Caesar Wellness Committee.
Not only am I here for my students, but I try to support the parents whenever I can as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. The direct line to my office is (603) 903-6508. I have a confidential voicemail that only the nurse listens to. You can also reach me via email at cfrederiksen@mrsd.org. I try my best to coordinate the health care piece between parents, teachers, providers and students. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know.
Your child's immunizations must be up to date and on file. They must have a physical on file since starting kindergarten (so a preschool student will need a new physical for kindergarten). This is state law and mandatory for attendance! Transferring students need to have an updated physical done in the year prior to coming to our school. Each child needs to have a new health form on file every year to give me the most recent emergency contact numbers and health information as well as to give me permission to give your child medication if needed. Over the counter medications such as tylenol or cough drops will not be given without this form.
