RSA 91-A:3 II
(b)-Nominations: MOTION: C. Dreyfuss MOVED to nominate
Ana Gonzalas to the MC2 Internship Coach Position. SECOND: K. Goodenough. DISCUSSION:
J. Fortson commented that the third position at MC2 was a teaching position
not an internship position. C. Dreyfuss
commented that the position was held by someone also teaching English last
year. She said that the position is there. C. Dreyfuss commented that she is
ashamed that she did not ask for more information prior to her vote on the
nomination. K. Dassau said he had asked for a discussion on the nomination and
no one responded. Under the RSA if you have information or a conflict of
interest you need to abstain from the vote. She came with good recommendations.
The Board questioned a lawsuit at KSC by the nominee. E. Jacod commented that
the husband of Ana said it does not exist. C. Dreyfuss had heard from another
Board Member that the lawsuit existed. We screwed up. R. Smith commented that
Ana spoke to him directly about the suit and that it does exist. K. Dassau
explained that he contacted people at KSC and they are not aware of a suit. A
person at KSC gave Ana a great recommendation. R. Smith walks out of the
meeting. K. Dassau also has a letter from KSC saying that they are unaware of
any lawsuit. The Board would request the nominations earlier and that the nominees
are not notified of their positions until the Board votes. K. Dassau explained
that if a person has an issue about a person they need to let the Board know.
The husband believes that it is a discrimination issue. K. Goodenough commented
that she is ashamed as well of her vote. She said that she saw the reaction on
R. Smith’s face when he voted no and she felt it had to be bad. We should be
ashamed and she apologized. She is disappointed that R.Smith did not want to
speak after the vote. K. Dassau informed the Board again that if a Board Member
knows anything they need to inform the rest of the Board. J. Carnie commented
that this is an example of what can happen. He would disagree with the Chair.
This is not a new nomination. The right thing to do is whoever voted against
the motion, rescind the vote and vote again. MOTION: C. Dreyfuss. MOVED to
rescind the rejection of the nomination of Ana Gonzalas. SECOND: K. Goodenough. DISCUSSION:
K. Goodenough suggested that we fix the hiring process. K. Dassau commented
that this is a personnal issue that needs to be corrected. VOTE: 4,716/1.930/3.561/4.793. Motion
passes. MOTION: C. Dreyfuss. MOVED to nominate Ana Gonzalas to the
MC2 Intership Coach position. SECOND: K.

person. VOTE: 4.963/1.930/3.314/4.793.
