Present:� G. White, J. Fortson, J. Kenyon, S. Oerman, E. Jacod, D. Lyman, C. Dreyfuss,

Administration:� K. Dassau

 

K. Dassau distributed the orientation agenda, Robert�s Rules of Order and C.D. of material and agenda items.

 

K. Dassau reviewed orientation agenda items.

 

C. Dreyfuss opened the meeting up for discussion.

 

Discussion items:

 

1.                  Authority of individual members.� Individual board members have authority only when operating at the direction of the full board.

 

2.                  Discussed requests for information from central office.

 

 

3.                  Sub-Committee � sub committees are generally the first line of review to make a recommendation to the full board.

 

Function of committees � regardless work, time, and agenda settings was discussed.

 

4.                  Discussed meetings with selectman as informational public relations.

 

5.                  Discussion of facilities and curriculum issues.� Discussed the Capital Improvement Plan and curriculum web link.

 

6.                  Discussion of Surry withdrawal and Deliberative Session.� E. Jacod asked why flashlights for Roxbury, Richmond (Camp Takodah), Sullivan meetings.� Response � lack of external lighting when leaving.
