Board Meeting Minutes

December 5, 2006

Monadnock Regional Middle/ High School Library, Swanzey, NH

 

�Present: Jonathan Kenyon, Gene White, Tim Peloquin, Phyllis Peterson, James Carnie, Susan Oerman, Kenneth Colby, William Felton and Colline Dreyfuss.

Also present: K. Dassau, Superintendent, D. Hodgdon, Assistant Superintendent, Business Manager Katie Chambers, D. Mousette and Laura L. Aivaliotis, Recording secretary.

 

K. Dassau explained that the Board rescinded the Retirement Policy for Principals as of July 1, 2006.� That action did not cover D. Mousette whose retirement package was set at the June 20, 2006 meeting. K. Dassau explained that the recommendation from the administration is to rescind the policy effective to June 20, 2006, which he believed was the Board�s intent. D. Mousette said that he wants to follow the correct procedure. MOTION: J. Kenyon MOVED to reconsider D. Mousette�s retirement package. SECOND: W. Felton. VOTE: 6.533/0/3.321/5.146. Motion passes.

 

MOTION: W. Felton MOVED to rescind the retirement policy effective June 20, 2006, and, further to rescind the retirement terms agreed to for Dave Mousette as those terms were dependent on the viability of the retirement policy for principals. SECOND: P. Peterson. DISCUSSION: J. Carnie asked D. Mousette if he was part of the group with the appeal. He is not part of the appeal. VOTE: 6.533/0/3.321/5.146. Motion passes.

 

K. Dassau thanked D. Mousette for his cooperation and understanding. Next D. Mousette offered the Board a letter rescinding his resignation. MOTION: K. Colby MOVED to accept the letter from D. Mousette to withdraw his letter of resignation immediately. SECOND: J. Kenyon. VOTE: 9.854/0/0/5.146. Motion passes.

 

MOTION: J. Kenyon MOVED to go back into public session. SECOND: G. White. VOTE: 9.854/0/0/5.146. Motion passes.
