7PM Public Hearing

 

Present: Tim Aho, Karen Cota, Alan Gross, Dixie Gurian, Chair Robin Marra, Richard Thackston, William Felton, Bruce Tatro, John Morin, Gene White, Colline Dreyfuss, Jeff Friedman,  and Winston Wright. 

Absent: Marianne Mathis, Bruce McCulley

Also present: C. Cardine, Supt., K. Dassau, Asst. Supt. L. Biron, Business Manager

 

Chair Marra opened the meeting under RSA 198:20 d to approve borrowing Tax Anticipation Notes.

 

Board members and citizens asked questions of L. Biron and C. Cardine.

 

7:30Pm Chair Marra closes the Public Meeting.

 

A. Gross MOVED to allow the Monadnock Regional School District to apply for a 2.1 million line of credit to cover current cash flow. G. White SECONDS. Discussion. VOTE: 13.170/0/0/3.009 MOTION PASSES.

Chair Marra opened the meeting. L. Biron distributed the default budget for 05-06 and the administration’s budget. C. Cardine explained the formation of the materials.

 

Discussion of the budget materials.

8:10 PM W. Wright  MOVED to adjourn. SECOND: J. Morin. C. Carnie asked if a Public Comments would be permitted. R. Marra acknowledged the oversight and asked members to vote no in order to keep the meeting open. VOTE: 0/12.149/0/2.851. Motion Fails.

 

Public Comments:

D. Connell asked what the budget percentage increases was  and if the proposed addition of the 22 classroom would be enough to separate the middle school students.

          

J. Carnie questioned the per pupil cost of students attending the MC˛ School.

 

R. Marra commented the Holiday Show was excellent and commended the students.
